Festive Preppy-Mod

I must admit, the holiday season is always the perfect excuse for busting out the sequins. So this week I begin with this ultra flashy fabric to make a preppy-mod outfit come alive. Totally chic, somewhat modest and uber festive to bid adieu to yet another year.

By now many, if not all of you already know how much I love to wear red. So when I came across this red check shirt while browsing cyber Monday deals I just couldn’t pass on it! I also knew I would style it with pearls because the contrast is so gorgeous. Which brings me to the next item of this outfit, the coat.

How absolutely cute is it! And for the price tag I just couldn’t resist. I read the reviews before deciding on it and I went to my local mall to find it. I’m glad I did because it is made extremely well, super soft and very warm. But buyer beware, it doesn’t come with buttons but only a hook in front. I’m ok with it though because it’s nothing a fabulous blanket scarf can’t take care of!

And last but certainly not least, this very fancy and festive sequins midi skirt. How badass is that! I love the midi style, the intertwining of sequins and lace and the fact that it has a hint of sexy. By combining these pieces together I was able to create a preppy-mod look. A combination of classic with a hint of modern.
