“Paris is always a good idea.” -Audrey Hepburn
Want a taste of French cuisine? Today’s post is based on a recent outing to my favorite french bakery, La Petite France. And you don’t have to fly half-way around the world to enjoy an authentic french baguette!
Located in the beautiful town of West Hartford, CT, the bakery draws all kinds of traffic. From the passerby that just got a drift of their freshly baked breads to people like me, who can’t wait for the weekend to stop in for an extended visit.
I really like their small and intimate setting, perfect for a quick mid-afternoon coffee and pastry break. Every once in a while I love to visit local shops that are unique to themselves. As much as I enjoy some of the other common franchises, there’s just something about these independent shops that make you feel at home.
I don’t visit often but when I do, it’s always a pleasure. I can’t get over their crepes and desserts. And if you’re wondering what the hype on Macarons is all about, just stop by and taste for yourself, simply amazing!
My favorite dish! Egg, spinach, onions, tomato and Goat Cheese Crepe, to die for!
A simple by equally delicious breakfast sandwich. Bacon, egg and swiss croissant.

I love to explore my area but I enjoy even more visiting and supporting our local merchants. What’s your favorite local spot? I’d love to know, bonjour!
